Our founding story: inspired by a mother's journey shaped for women 45+
When our co-founder Stefan’s mother turned 59, life, quite unexpectedly, placed her at a crossroads that so many women quietly face, yet rarely talk about in full honesty she was diagnosed with cancer, and alongside the fear and uncertainty that came with it, there was something equally difficult to process: the slow, frustrating feeling that her body was no longer on her side.
It wasn’t just the illness. It was the fatigue that lingered even after rest, the stiffness that made simple movements feel heavier than they should, the quiet loss of confidence that can creep in when your energy, your strength, and your sense of self begin to shift all at once.
Stefan stood by, wanting more than anything to help her feel like herself again - strong, vibrant, alive. And today, thankfully, Jadranka is doing well, something that makes this story not only one of struggle, but also of resilience, hope, and what’s possible with the right support.
And somewhere in between doctor visits, quiet conversations, and moments of reflection, a thought began to take shape, almost gently at first, and then with more clarity:
What if movement could become her way back?
He knew from his own experience that movement could be more than exercise. It had always been his way to restore balance, sharpen his mind, and lift his spirits and over time, he began to see how this same approach could redefine fitness for women over 45 in a way that feels supportive, realistic, and truly sustainable.
The moment a personal story became a bigger mission
What if there was a way to guide not just his mom, but women like you in your late 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond through safe, approachable movement that restores strength and confidence?

That’s where Younger truly began.
When Stefan shared this vision with his lifelong friend Kristian, the idea found its second half. With Stefan’s deep understanding of people and movement, and Kristian’s passion for building meaningful technology, they set out to create something that felt less like a fitness app and more like a companion for this stage of life.
And just like that, from a deeply personal story rooted in family, Younger was born.
